Project:
We advised on the sale of one of the largest strategic land holdings to change hands in the UK in recent years — the site of what will be Universal's first theme park in Europe.
The transaction was structured as a corporate sale to a Universal entity, and so required real estate and corporate expertise to run in parallel across a single, tightly co-ordinated process.
Our client had assembled the site over more than six years through a series of conditional purchases, option agreements and overage arrangements, together with the acquisition of mines and minerals rights. Each of these had to be reviewed, and where necessary released, assigned or preserved, to deliver the clean title the buyer required.
